Cable Television and Communications Association of Illinois Appoints K.C. McWilliams as New Chairman
Rockford, IL – January 08, 2002 –
K.C. McWilliams, District Vice President of Insight Communications' Rockford-area operations, was recently named the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Cable Television and Communications Association of Illinois (CT&C).
McWilliams, the first woman in the history of the CT&C to be appointed to this position, is the chief executive officer of the corporation. Her responsibilities include leading and directing the State Association, as well as initiating the establishment of goals and objectives for the CT&C in the State of Illinois.
In its 16-year history, the CT&C has proven to be a dynamic and capable leader in the cable television industry of the Midwest. CT&C represents the cable industry in the Illinois General Assembly and the Illinois Commerce Commission keeping members aware of important state issues. The association membership consists of cable operators, programming and equipment services and other businesses that have an affiliation with the cable industry.
McWilliams is currently the District Vice President for Insight Communications' Rockford district, where she oversees all aspects of operations for over 75,000 customers. In 1999, Rockford was the first cable system in the country to launch a fully interactive, two-way digital television platform, including localized content and video-on-demand.
