
3. After choosing ISP Setup, the following screen will appear:

4. Make sure that the network adapter is found. If an error message appears, the network adapter is either installed incorrectly, or there is a technical problem with the PS2.

5. A screen appears notifying that SCEA (a Sony company) is not affiliated with our Internet service. Press the X button on the PS2 game pad.

6. The next two screen shots below will allow you to create/edit/delete an ISP name. Choose New, and then type in any name (we recommend InsightBB).


7. After typing in your chosen ISP name, chose ENTER.
8. Double-check to make sure that the Ethernet cord is NOT connected to the PS2 game console.
9. In the following screen shot, choose YES.

10. Make sure that High-Speed Connection [Cable or DSL] is chosen on the next screen.

11. Choose Automatic Settings on the next screen.

12. Choose NO when asked if the ISP requires a User ID and Password, as shown below.

13. When asked whether or not to input a DHCP host name, select NO.

14. The following two screens will appear. The second screen may not appear for up to two minutes. At this point, the search needs to fail. Do not plug in the Ethernet cable during this search. After making sure the second screen appears, press the Select button, so that the Help menu is displayed.


15. At this point, call your local Insight Broadband Customer Care office, so we may assist you by creating your online account. We will at this point assist you with the remainder of your PS2 online configuration. An additional IP address will be required to operate the PS2 on the Insight Broadband service, and your local Insight Broadband office will notify you of the extra charges involved.
16. Your Insight Broadband representative will ask you for the Hardware MAC Address information shown on the screen shot below. Your Hardware MAC Address will be different than the one displayed below, please make sure to have your own information ready.

17. When your Insight Broadband Customer Care representative confirms that your account has been properly configured for service, plug the Ethernet cable into the PS2 game console.
18. Press the Triangle button on the game pad to exit this screen.
19. Press the X button to re-test the network connection again.
20. You will get a notification that the PS2 is connected for online play. Click the X button when the screen below appears.

21. You will receive a congratulations screen, and will be prompted to return to the main menu.

After receiving the congratulations screen, you are ready to start using your Sony Playstation 2 for fast, interactive online gaming.
